Saurashtri (Alum) is a good astringent, styptic and antiseptic. It is beneficial in superficial infections, prickly heat, acne & ulcers.

Aloe barbadensis (Barbados Aloe, Kumari) possesses emollient, astringent, cooling and healing properties and is widely used in various creams, lotions and shampoos. It is beneficial in various skin disorders such as acne, sunburns, bruises, dermatitis, etc.

Vitex negundo (Five-leaved Chaste Tree, Nirgundi) has astringent and anti-inflammatory actions beneficial in skin disorders.
